Name: Loviise Pärn
Age: 19
Gender: female
Appearance:
Lou is not a beautiful girl in the traditional sense of the word. She isn't blonde, she isn't tall, she isn't lean. She's short, fat (yes, that's the word she prefers), and her hair is short and black. Well, occasionally it's blue, and occasionally pink. She dyes it rather often, and uses the colors to match her mood on the moment of the hairdresser's appointment. When she goes for black, she's feeling creative; when blue, well, blue; and when pink, happy.
She's a rock'n'roll girl, and she lets it show in her outfits. She loves leather and denim, she adores t-shirts with funny print, and her shoes... well, she usually opts for combat boots or platform boots. Her current favorite outfit is a pair combat boots, jeggings and a crop top with the text "F*CK FLATTERING". 'Cause she doesn't believe she should wear 'flattering' clothes in order to seem thinner. She's not thin, and that's just fine.
She used to wish for thinness for years, she used to try and lose weight, but when nothing worked, she did what she had to do. To quote Brokeback Mountain, her least favorite movie, "If you can't change it, you gotta stand it." And just standing your looks isn't enough. Lou decided to go for accepting and loving the way she looks. Fake it till you make it, it took her seventeen months to be able to look into the mirror without thinking about what the society demands of her.
Personality:
You can't force Lou to be serious. She doesn't take life, herself or you seriously, so don't expect her to. She'll say stupid things and she'll laugh and she'll laugh at the stupid things you say. Not because she's mean, but because she doesn't think life should be taken seriously.
Don't take it the wrong way. She might laugh at everything, but she's not a dumb girl. Actually, she's quite intelligent. She's a rebel, she questions society's norms, and she questions everyone's views. She doesn't take anything as it is, she has a tendency to question everything and find the bad things about everything. It's not because she's a negative person but because she's sick of all the bullshit she sees on a daily basis. Most of all she's sick of fat shaming, slut shaming, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, and racism. Use a transphobic slur in front of her and you'll surely be called out. And perhaps not so nicely. She generally doesn't bother with being nice to people who aren't nice to minorities.
She likes many things, including but not limited to writing something so fast that it makes a funny taptaptap-sound, being in a train alone, the scent of oranges, rain, spending Christmas in Finnish Lapland (where the Santa really lives, not on the North Pole like some believe), quiet, lazy mornings, freshly dyed hair, staying in hotels, photography, being herself, and dancing.
She dislikes a number of other things, including loud people, people who assume they're right about everything, the smell of cigarettes, and being cold.
History:
Lou was born in Tallinn, the child of a prostitute and one of her customers. Lou's mother, Eliisa, doesn't know who Lou's father is, but she doesn't think it matters too much. What matters is that she loves her daughter very much. Despite being poor, she did her best to ensure that Lou's childhood would be the best possible. While she lacked in gadgets and games, she had plenty of love.
Most of Eliisa's clients were rich businessmen from Finland and Russia, so when she had to work, she usually went to hotels for the night. She'd come home in the middle of the night, and crawl to bed. She'd wake up before Lou woke up, and together they'd eat a breakfast in peace.
When Lou turned fifteen, she started using the name Lou to appear more international. She's always been interested in singing, to the point of annoying others with singing all the time. About that time she found out that the band of her classmates, PASK ÕNN (shitty luck in Estonian, and yes, it's supposed to be in all caps), was looking for a vocalist. She applied, and despite the doubts of the other band members, she blew their mind.
Around the time Lou turned seventeen, the band was popular in Estonia, and now that she's eighteen, the band is becoming more and more popular in all of Europe. Not that the audience for punk is exceptionally large, but they're still popular. After their first CD - published when Lou had just turned seventeen - they started to write their songs in English. Lou has always been great in English, so it's not a challenge for her to write stuff in English.
Lou has never been in a real relationship. She's had a couple of flings, but nothing more serious. She doesn't know if she even wants to be in a relationship: she feels a relationship would limit her life too much. She wouldn't be able to do whatever she wants to do, screw whoever she wants to screw.
RP Example:
Aava's first discussion with the doctor would happen soon. She'd discussed a couple of times with the nurses, and they'd taken notes and probably taken the notes to the doctor. Christopher Kane was his name, and Aava remembered meeting him - the friendly old guy that reminded her of an overgrown hobbit. She was sure his feet were particularly hairy and that he enjoyed eating and drinking. Then again, who didn't?
Aava was five minutes late. On purpose. She didn't want the man to think the appointment mattered too much to her, no, even though it did. She knew she'd have to do well with the chats she had with the doctor, or things would go bad. She'd signed a paper that guaranteed that she wouldn't be released until she was ready, and she wanted to get out as fast as possible. Part of the reasons was that she wanted to go to a bar and find a guy to sleep with, and she knew that she wasn't ready yet.
But she didn't want the doctor to think she was too eager to get better. She didn't know why -- she just didn't want to. End of story.
She opened the door, and greeted the doctor. She didn't wait for a permission to sit before doing so. The chair was uncomfortably tilted, and she had to sit with her legs spread too much apart to feel even remotely comfortable in it. Spreading her legs wasn't a problem, the problem was that she was wearing a short skirt and she figured the doctor wouldn't like it if she flashed her pink panties during their first appointment.
Then again, it might get Aava out of here faster. She smiled at the doctor and waited for him to speak
